Consistency is the key to all frequent activities. If you travel to the same city every week or month, try and stay in the same hotel and even the same room. If the manager gets to know you and is aware of your future plans, they can make that arrangement for you. Don’t shirk on your gym habits either. Besides that it’s good to keep active whilst travelling, your body will recognise the repeat routine and then all the other frequent activities your body needs to do will follow suit. (cough cough … sleeping and toilet habits).
KEEP IT SMART, STUPID
One of the most repeated travel tips! What we mean by keeping it smart is from packing to sitting, to eating and to hiring, do it smartly. When it comes to packing, plan your wardrobe accordingly. Literally, pack your outfit pieces together and learn how to roll-pack. It can save you time and plenty money on not having to iron and replace travel-weary clothes. Also, be sure to hire the correct car that suits your needs for the time away – and again, try to book with the same car hire company and hire the same style of car each time. Maintaining regular eating can be a pain, and oftentimes you may skip meals or if you’re travelling overseas, get your body right out of its regular routine. Be sure to have snacks on hand – simply pack them into your large luggage or buy them as soon as you land.
If you can, make use of lounge services. Great places to catch up on work, grab a bite to eat and simply relax before your flight.
SLEEPING, HYDRATION AND MOVEMENT
Very often, one’s sleeping habits can be thrown off when travelling and number 3 in our travel tips is a goodie. Even with a local flight and especially with overseas flights, your body clock can go haywire, often throwing out other regular body activities. Consider a later flight somewhere around your normal bedtime, or take a mild natural sleeping pill to help you on your way. Sleeping helps with getting you through long flights and is good for your body overall. When it comes to frequent travelling, many forget to drink enough. Flying and being at different altitudes can also dehydrate the body. Remember to keep topping up – one of our last travel tips is to keep a small bottle of water on your person at all times.
BEING MEDICALLY ALERT
Currently the world is gripped in the fear of the Corona Virus. It is a very real threat but that doesn’t mean you need to panic. Airports are a breading ground for germs and have hundreds of thousands of people passing through the doors each day. Remember to wash your hands regularly, for at least 20 seconds. Do not to touch your face after being in physical contact with those around you and above all else be aware that whilst airplanes are cleaned regularly, it still doesn’t hurt to take hand sanitzer with you.
